Fortunately for Florida residents, the weather is decent for a large portion of the year, thus allowing for more flexibility to schedule a
new roof replacement
when one is needed. There are, however, better times in which to get a new roof.
The best times of the year are the winter and spring months. In Florida, many people consider summer to be their "winter" compared to the rest of the country. During the Florida summer, the heat can become unbearable, forcing people who can't get to a pool or the ocean indoors. Much like the harsh winters do for those living in the northern states.
It rains almost daily throughout much of Florida during the summer, especially southern Florida, where Boynton Beach is located. On top of the rain, it becomes sweltering. The constant rain causes many roofs to leak, and most roofing companies are slammed with
emergency roofing repairs. Summer bleeds right into fall in South Florida and is at the height of hurricane season, therefore leaving many roofing companies busy.
While many roofs get replaced during the summer and fall months, the downside to these times is usually in the form of delays. As rain will cause delays, intense heat can be hazardous and does not allow roofers to work long hours. Then factor in it being the busiest time of year for roofing companies; you can see why it is wiser to get a full roof replacement during the winter or spring months.
Once the rainy summer and fall months pass, the conditions for replacing a roof arrive. Not only will many roofing companies have more time and focus on dedicating to any individual project, but the lack of rain and cooler weather will greatly reduce any delays. Many people must take advantage of this time, as their roof will have taken damage during the rainy months and will be a major problem when they roll back around. It is better to get the roof taken care of when storms are far and few between so that the roof is ready for daily thunderstorms and possible hurricanes.
